Bay State Savings Bank Promotes Thomas Belton, Jeanie Connolly, and Lucas Miller

WORCESTER, MA / July 2018 – Bay State Savings Bank is pleased to announce three promotions. Thomas Belton has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Information Technology. Jeanie Connolly has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending. Lucas Miller has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Compliance & General Counsel. Each serve at the Bank’s 28 Franklin Street location in Worcester, Massachusetts.

As Senior Vice President of Information Technology, Mr. Belton oversees the Bank’s computer systems and communication networks. In 2014, he was an honored recipient of Worcester Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, an annual awards program which celebrates 40 business leaders in the Central Massachusetts and Metro West regions. Mr. Belton joined Bay State Savings Bank in 2001. Previously, he has served in the U.S. Navy. He currently resides in Spencer, MA.

Ms. Connolly joined Bay State Savings Bank in 2017. With more than 20 years of experience in banking, Ms. Connolly previously served as Commercial Relationship Manager at Clinton Savings Bank in Clinton, MA and Peoples United Bank in Worcester, MA. She holds a B.A. in Accounting from Bentley University. Ms. Connolly is a Foundation Board member of Mount Wachusett Community College in Fitchburg, MA, a member of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce Women’s Leadership Conference Committee, and a member of the Camp Starfish Board of Directors in Stowe, MA. She currently resides in Princeton, MA.

Mr. Miller joined Bay State Savings Bank in 2013.  He previously studied electrical engineering at Boston University, chemistry at Worcester State University, and received his J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law. He was recognized as one of the Worcester Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2015 and currently serves on Habitat for Humanity’s Finance Committee.  Mr. Miller is also licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, New York, and is a registered attorney with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. He volunteers as a pro bono attorney for need-based individuals on a range of matters. He resides in Leicester, Massachusetts with his wife Sarah and their son, Benjamin.
