Bay State Savings Bank Nine Awards Scholarships

WORCESTER, MA: May 2015 – Bay State Savings Bank announced recently that it has awarded eight $500 scholarships and one four-year, $4,000 scholarship to nine area high school seniors based on their academic achievements, character and service to community.
One student was chosen from each of six public high schools in Worcester, one student was chosen from Wachusett Regional High School in Holden, and two students were chosen from Auburn High School. The $500 scholarship recipients were: Claremont Academy – Deborah Diaz Lembert; Doherty High School – Rebecca Gow; North High School – Favio Velasquez; South High School – Cashios Okyere; University Park – Alexandrea Davis; Worcester Technical High School – Styven Colon; Wachusett Regional High School – Angela Kelly and Auburn High School – Briana Allain (Elizabeth Roy Memorial Scholarship awarded to the banking student with the highest GPA). Bay State Savings Bank's 4-year, $4,000 scholarship presented annually to an Auburn High School student was awarded to Tayla Foulkrod.
