Bay State Savings Bank Awards Linda G. Collet and Zach E. Gobi
Bay State Savings Bank recently awarded two employees at its staff meeting on February 5, 2020. Linda Collet received the President’s Award for performing 200 hours of community service, the most hours among all non-officer Bank employees in 2019. Zach E. Gobi received the Employee of the Year Award, now named the MaryAnn Ford Award in honor of an exemplary employee who served the Bank for 15 years and passed in January.
Ms. Collet serves as Commercial Loan Assistant and bears 35 years of banking experience. Before joining Bay State Savings Bank in 2019, she served at DCU in Marlborough, MA for 18 years. Ms. Collet volunteers at St. Vincent De Paul in Gardner, MA. At this site, she works with the non-profit organization’s food pantry which provides meals to families in need. She also volunteers with her church Annunciation Parish in Gardner, MA. She currently resides in Gardner, MA.
Mr. Gobi serves as Information Technology Specialist. Previously, Mr. Gobi served as Help Desk Technician upon joining the Bank in 2018. He was promoted to IT Specialist in February 2020. Mr. Gobi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Umass Lowell. He was awarded Employee of the Year for demonstrating an above and beyond performance in the workplace and for his participation in the Bank’s Employee Appreciation Committee and Millennial Customer Acquisition Program.
